We asked Dave Bergman to be our Realtor when we decided to sell our Scotts Valley home after
receiving glowing recommendations from several friends. We were impressed at the first
meeting - he arrived well prepared with comparable listings, was very knowledgeable about the city of Scotts Valley, and gave us great advice regarding how to price and prepare our home for sale.
Thanks to Dave, we received two offers the first day our home was shown. Then the real challenges unfolded. Our buyer's realtor proved to be unreliable and difficult. He made unreasonable demands, failed to meet deadlines, and refused to return calls, texts and emails. We were also in the process of purchasing another home out of the area and that Realtor was going through a personal crisis. Because of this, she was unable to stay on top of things, also missed deadlines and failed to update us. We were stressed.
Not only did Dave do his job superbly, he did the job of the other two realtors. When Frank and I were melting down, he calmly took control. He was always diplomatic and patient, and he solved the problems that came up. He spent countless hours communicating with Realtors, Escrow Officers and Lenders and returned our phone calls, texts and emails within minutes - even in the evenings and on weekends. He went above and beyond what was required of him. Dave is the reason we were able to successfully close both the house we were selling and the house we were purchasing on the date we needed.
Buying or selling a home is very stressful and confusing for the average consumer. We can't recommend Dave highly enough.
